Why We Send Text Messages
Opportunity Radar uses SMS to keep your account secure and to power the safety features that make our marketplace trustworthy. Every text we send is transactional — tied to something you did on the platform or to a safety feature you enabled. We do not send marketing or promotional messages.
Types of Messages You May Receive
- Phone verification codes when you add or confirm a phone number
- Account security alerts (for example, unusual sign-in activity)
- Safety Check reminders during an active opportunity
- Trusted Contact notifications when you or a contact enables them
- Emergency SOS notifications that you initiate from the app
All of these messages are transactional and safety-related. Message frequency varies based on your activity and the safety features you have turned on.
STOP and HELP
You can reply STOP at any time to opt out of further SMS messages from Opportunity Radar. Once you opt out, phone verification, Safety Check reminders, and Emergency SOS notifications will no longer be delivered to your number.
Reply HELP to receive information on how to reach our support team, or email help@opportunityradar.info.
Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.
Consent Language Shown at Sign-Up
“I agree to receive transactional SMS messages from Opportunity Radar for account verification, phone verification codes, security alerts, Safety Check reminders, trusted contact notifications, and Emergency SOS notifications that I initiate. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase.”
This checkbox is unchecked by default and must be explicitly selected before an account can be created. Your consent, along with a timestamp and version, is stored on your profile for audit purposes.
Privacy of Your Phone Number
Opportunity Radar never sells your phone number, and we never share it with third parties for their own marketing. Numbers are used only to deliver the transactional messages listed above through our SMS provider (Twilio).
